Saif Ali Khan and Deepika are hot contenders in KBC 5

Bollywood actors, Saif Ali Khan and Deepika Padukone will soon be seen as hot contenders in the quiz based reality show, Kaun Banega Crorepati – Season 5. The actors were seen in the recently released film, Aarakshan by Prakash Jha.

StarBuzz Weekly, Toronto- Aug 19, 2011 - Bollywood actors Saif Ali Khan and Deepika Padukone will soon be seen in the quiz based reality show Kaun Banega Crorepati which is in its fifth season. The quiz show which is hosted by Bollywood megastar Amitabh Bachchan has begun on 15th August. Deepika looks stunning in a red churidar kurta as she sports a complete Indian look, while Saif Ali Khan looks his usual dapper self in a black formal jacket as they occupy the hot seat. This will be Saif Ali Khan’s second appearance with the first being with Preity Zinta in the second season of the quiz show. Though Deepika came as a guest in the previous season, she did not play the game.

Saif Ali Khan, Deepika Padukone and Amitabh Bachchan were all a part of the recently released film, ‘Aarakshan’ that was directed by Prakash Jha. The film based on the reservation system in government offices and educational institutions had all the three actors in pivotal roles. Saif and Deepika will be seen enacting portions from their film. Amitabh Bachchan blogged about his experience of shooting Kaun Banega Crorepati with the two stars, “One interesting candidate and the entire anxiety of the working of the show just flies past .. we had a few today and tomorrow is another day .. let us hope that all goes well .. the second episode towards the evening will have invites to Saif and Deepika .. who come to promote their film and mine as well - 'Aarakshan' !!! In many ways, the philosophy of the film and that of KBC is quite similar. Given opportunity, even the lesser privileged shall prosper. Or at least have the capacity to prosper.”
