Statement by Liberal Leader Bob Rae on Canada’s Parks Day - Most Precious Canadian treasures.

“Canada’s Parks Day is an opportunity to reflect on the beauty and majesty of Canada’s natural and cultural heritage sites.

Today, as we celebrate the 100th anniversary of the creation of Parks Canada by Prime Minister Wilfrid Laurier, we honour a proud legacy that has become both a steward and promoter of our most precious Canadian treasures.

From coast to coast to coast, Canadians young and old revel in Canada’s natural beauty, open spaces and proud history. On behalf of the Liberal Party of Canada and our Parliamentary Caucus, I encourage all Canadians to take full advantage of the richness and diversity of our great country.”
