Canada Condemns Terrorist Bombing in India

StarBuzz Weekly, Toronto-September 7, 2011 - 5 p.m. ET) Foreign Affairs Minister John Baird issued the following statement regarding today’s terrorist bombing in New Delhi:

Canada strongly condemns today’s terrorist bombing in New Delhi.
“On behalf of all Canadians, I offer our deep condolences to the families and loved ones of those killed by this cowardly act of violence, and I wish a quick recovery to the injured. Our thoughts and prayers are with them at this difficult time.

“This attack is a stark reminder that terrorists remain active around the world. We need to continue to work together to counter those who perpetrate these atrocities.
“Once again, Canada stands in solidarity with the government and people of India in their fight against terrorism. We offer our support as India works to bring to justice those responsible for this despicable attack against innocent civilians.
“We advise Canadians in New Delhi to be extremely vigilant, follow the advice of local authorities and monitor local media.”
